CINTEPA is a savings and credit cooperative, founded in Juan Lacaze, with more than 42,000 members and 12 branches in Colonia, San José, Soriano, Canelones, and Flores.

Need

CINTEPA aims to be as close as possible to its members, by using technology to its maximum potential. In the past, cooperative services were only available in person.

GeneXus Consulting designed and developed a mobile application that allows users to apply for credits, view account statements and recharge the Cinteplus prepaid card.

Solution

Through the simulator, members can access different products, reaching out to micro-entrepreneurs, especially those in remote areas. The newly launched mobile application allows clients to access different services through their smartphones.

It also allows them to attend to and develop specific services for micro and small enterprises that manage insurance and working capital, avoiding high-interest rates. From the application, members can view their loans, payments, account status and loan requests. They can also know whether they have been authorized or are awaiting approval.

Results

By providing this service inland, CINTEPA can be closer to its members. There is substantial potential for growth nationally.
